Safeguarding Officer-Part time
We have an exciting opportunity for a Safeguarding Officer to join our school.

The successful candidate will be a highly self-motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who will play a key role in the ongoing health and welfare of students and staff at Iqra Academy. 
You will be responsible for promoting the health, safety and well-being of all students studying at Iqra Academy. You will provide advice and guidance to students with pastoral and welfare support needs. You will be responsible for managing safeguarding referrals and supporting students who at risk. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed and driven individual; you must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students. The purpose of this post is to fulfil our responsibility in the safeguarding of our students and further raising standards of safeguarding and engagement.

KS4 Psychology Teacher- Part-time

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate with great passionate, energy, and drive to teach Psychology to KS4 students and help support/develop pupils learning experience.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and committed teacher who will be planning, evaluating and revising curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction. You will have a clear understanding of effective learning and teaching and are willing to work in partnership with an excellent, committed staff team. We are looking to appoint a colleague who shares our commitment to high standards of professionalism and academic achievement.

This role will involve:
– Teaching KS4 Psychology
– Planning and resourcing lessons and activities to help students progress
– Working collaboratively with departmental colleagues
– Use of student data and assessment to inform teaching and learning

KS4 Sociology Teacher- Part-time

Exams Officer/Admin- Part-time
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and professional Exams and Admin Officer to join our school. You will undertake a variety of administrative tasks relating to all aspects of the examination procedure, including processing examination entries, entering data onto computerised systems, preparing examination timetables, supervising exams and liaising with Exam Boards, students and staff.

Exam Officer duties can include:
– Ensuring the smooth running of examinations and exam related function
-To build and maintain the schools examination timetable, ensuring all students and staff are aware of any changes in a swift manner
-Ensuring all correct exam entries are in place in advance of deadlinesManaging a team of invigilators during school wide examinations.
-Arranging external examinations and assessment for various vocational courses

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of both the internal and external exams process and as such will need to have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, experience working with a range of ICT and data systems, and must enjoy working with young people. Previous experience working as an Exams Officer or Assistant Exams Officer in an educational setting would be an advantage.

Health and Social Care Teacher- Part-time 

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate with great passionate, energy, and drive to teach Health and Social Care to KS4 students and help support/develop pupils learning experience.

KS3 Computing Teacher/ICT Support 

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate with great passionate, energy, and drive to teach Computing to KS3 students and help support/develop pupils learning experience. We are looking for a dynamic individual who about teaching engaging lessons that help students understand the importance of ICT and the positive impact it can have throughout their life.

This role will involve:
– Teaching KS3 Computing
– Planning and resourcing lessons and activities to help students progress
– Working collaboratively with departmental colleagues
– Use of student data and assessment to inform teaching and learning

The role is a wide-ranging one. Alongside the teaching you will also be required to support hardware, software and online platforms from multiple vendors, and technologies from photocopiers to virtual Cloud environments. The candidate will be required to provide immediate on hand support to staff when required. There will be opportunities to work on longer term projects to investigate and upgrade the School’s equipment, infrastructure and processes.

As an ICT Support of the school, you may also be required to help out in Computing classes giving support with students’ learning and helping with IT problems. This could be a great opportunity for an aspiring Computing teacher to get an understanding of what the career entails as well as becoming familiar with the curriculum.
